Allow me to introduce myself!
Art has been a lifelong joy for me and with the encouragement of family, friends and especially my two daughters, Lil’ Birdie Art came to be. I love to paint custom pieces, especially those that hold a special meaning: a new home, family cottage, cherished family pet, favourite destination… You will also find me painting a lot of rocky shorelines, windswept pines, wildlife and big skies reminiscent of my own childhood memories of summers spent on Georgian Bay, Canada.
I currently live in Peterborough, Canada, the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg called Nogojiwanong in Ojibwa, meaning “place at the foot of the rapids.” Here you will find great blue herons fishing the nearby river, mallards nesting in the creek, a fox crossing the trail… From the mischievous squirrels digging up my garden to the beautiful sunsets outside my kitchen window, I am so fortunate and grateful to be surrounded by this land of beautiful lakes, rivers and wildlife that offer all the creative inspiration I could ever want.
Thank you so much for your support of Lil’ Birdie Art! Please message me if you’d like to request your own painting if you can’t find what you’re hoping for in the shop!
With gratitude,
Cat
